Bio
Kelly is a 1994 graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in sports medicine/athletic training and minoring in nutrition. Board Certified Athletic Trainer in 1995. She received her Strength and Conditioning certification in 2006 and her STOTT PILATES certification in 2009. Her STOTT PILATES certification is a full certification for all equipment and required over 400 hours of coursework and practice teaching. Kelly has spent over 18 years working in the sports medicine and rehabilitation field. She has served as the Athletic Trainer for many school districts throughout Mid-Michigan. She has helped implement strength and conditioning programs and also given nutrition lectures while serving those school districts. She was on the MHSAA committee that helped establish the current guidelines for the wrestling minimum weight monitoring program. She has also worked on the medical staff for Michigan Special Olympics during both summer and winter games. Kelly's experience has allowed her to work with a wide range of athletes, ranging from the weekend warriors to elite level athletes. She also specializes in training clients that have injuries or health conditions to consider, like arthritis, scoliosis and back pain. Athlete development, speed and agility training and Pilates group classes are other areas of fitness that Kelly specializes in. Kelly's focus is on exercising and training with quality of movement vs. quantity of movement. She stresses good mechanics during the execution of each exercise performed by her clients.
